With gore, gore, and even more gore, this film was bloody fantastic. An unofficial sequel to director Sam Raimi’s 1981 film The Evil Dead, Evil Dead Rise is a thriller so brutal, it’s hard to look away. The conspicuous carnage, ranging from demented insects to macabre slaughter, truly solidified the trilogy’s notorious legacy as a staple horror franchise that will never lose its touch.

Director Lee Cronin revealed that in order to conjure up that same tinted realism that’s seen in the Evil Dead Universe, the studio had to use over 6000 LITERS of fake blood over the course of filming! Now that’s what I call a bloody masterpiece 🎥🩸
